About Training U

Training U provides quality career specific training to unemployed and underemployed men and women in the community. Through our many partnerships, Training U is in the unique position to be able to recruit, train, and if needed, assist with the placement of these motivated individuals seeking an opportunity to advance their careers.

At Training U, professional educators and skilled trades people have joined forces to provide an instructional program that is geared to address the unique learning needs of individuals who have not been successful in traditional learning environments. By identifying the specific skills required for a given position, and presenting instruction in an interactive format, our graduates learn valuable skills that will enable them to find employment within the community. Our instructors, skilled in research based teaching methods, are then trained on how to present the specific curriculums which insures that all classes are delivered consistently by all trainers.

Training U is a proven leader in the industry. During last year alone, Training U successfully trained over 1700 workers in the state of Florida. This year, Training U began its expansion into other states, bringing quality training to an ever-growing audience.

To be able to meet the needs of the community, Training U is fully mobile. They can provide instruction at one of several state of the art training facilities, on the jobsite, or at a community based location. To facilitate this, Training U has converted 3 semi trailers to portable classrooms, complete with air conditioning, generators, and everything needed to teach a class. In addition, there are 12 vans fully equipped as self-contained portable instructional centers.

Training U has partnered with Able Body Labor to conduct training at any of the 140 Able Body Labor office locations nationwide. Whether an individual participates in our two-day express class, or our comprehensive multi-week trainings, all of our trainees are able to improve their employment positions.

Not only does Training U help the workers, we also provide a valuable service to local businesses. Training U can provide instructors to teach an already established curriculum, or they can custom design a program to fit the specific requirements of any employer. To do this, our curriculum writing team meets with the company to identify training needs, then designs a curriculum around those needs. In these situations, everyone comes out a winner. The employers are getting qualified personnel, and the community’s work force is able to get better jobs.
